IN THE MIRROR, from 2012
I started photographing myself in reflective spaces I encountered in 2012, when my grandfather gave me his old Canon film camera. Often alone, but also with friends and lovers, I now have a collection of about 70 images. It’s both a game of shapes, perspectives, colors, and compositions. Its also a way to reclaim my body and desire as a woman. It’s a blend of playful, offbeat photographs that are also personal and sensual. This work has followed my physical and psychological evolution over the past 10 years, and it will continue as long as I keep taking photos
